The eyes of the world will focus on California from April 24 – May 7, 2012, marking our sixth anniversary!
BritWeek 2011 (held April 26-May 11) was our best yet. Launched in 2007 with a few select events, BritWeek quickly expanded in scope to become a springtime fixture on the Los Angeles calendar, and within two seasons evolved into a landmark festival celebrated around the state.
In 2011, thousands of people attended a myriad of arts, entertainment, cultural, business, social and charity events in and around Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco. With nearly 350,000,000 broadcast, trade, print and online media impressions internationally (including a special segment on American Idol), BritWeek has truly gone global!
THE celebration of British excellence in California, BritWeek (a non-profit organization) operates with cooperation from US and UK government entities, leading businesses and local organizations of all sizes to produce a stellar line-up of events for every budget and inclination. The program features art & design, film & television, music, theatre, literature, science & technology, fashion, retail, cuisine, pro sports, vintage cars, business innovation awards, star-studded red carpet receptions and charity galas, museum exhibitions…and the list expands each year!
